Rikpat was established as an Enterprise in the 1990s. The company was issued a business certificate and registered as a limited liability company in 2008. And diversified into the sale of automotive lubricants in 2007 with SeaHorse as the brand name. Rikpat has branches across Ghana with a staff strength of about 200 with various skills and competencies In 2017, the company began construction of a lubricant manufacturing plant at Gomoa Akotsi in the Central Region, it was completed and commissioned by the President of Ghana in September 2022.

Rikpat offers a range of locally blended automotive lubricants which includes: Engine Oils, Transmission Oils, Hydraulic Oils, Power Steering Oil, Engine Coolant and Adblue Fluid. Raw materials are sourced from reputable companies like Azelis Ghana Industries (Chevron Oil), Sun International, Mexxon Trading LLC and Hadelka Foreign Trade.

In addition to the lubricants, the company also imports Rmexx Automotive Filters, Tapes (Masking and Insulation), Sprays (Carburetor and Penetrating), MUTLU Batteries, Hardex Adhesives (Gasket Makers and Epoxy), from countries such as Turkey, Malaysia and China.

Rikpat Company Limited, aside from its lube plant, also have two major warehouses in Accra and Kumasi. The company is situated on a total land size of approximately 100,000 sqm.
